I don’t see any way to remove or edit an existing data source under “Manage Gateways”. The apply and discard buttons at the bottom are grayed out as are all fields except user and password. But it appears that I can create a new one. I was trying to create a new one with Analysis Services as the Data Source but getting errors on the credentials. Maybe I am using the wrong one for SSAS. Will follow up when I hear from our provider that initially setup SSAS.
Hi
Firstly, after you add a data source for SQL Server database under gateway, you are not able to change the type of the data source to SSAS. But you can remove the existing data source by using Remove button as shown in the following screenshot.
Secondly, when you add new data source for SSAS database, please post the exact error message that you get about credential. And I would recommend you check if you can successfully connect to the SSAS database using SQL Server Management Studio(SSMS), if there is no issue with using SSMS, please enter same user name and password when adding SSAS data source under gateway.
Thanks,
